Everyone Who Loves Has Been Born of God
1 John 4:7

Beloved, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. (1 John 4:7)
In this verse, John reminds his readers that true love comes from God. Love is not something we can produce on our own. When you are born again through faith in Christ, the Holy Spirit begins to transform your heart so that you can love others as He loves. You will not love perfectly because we still struggle with our sinful nature, but when you love others with the love of Christ, you show evidence that you have been born of God and truly know Him.
Ask God right now to let His love flow through you to others, so that your life brings glory to Him as His child. ~ Jeff M Newman

Brother, this is such a beautiful reminder of what true Christian life looks like. 1 John 4:7 is simple but powerful real love comes from God, and when His love flows through us, it shows that we truly belong to Him. Jesus said in John 13:35 that the world will know we are His disciples by our love. Not by our words, not by our talents, but by the way we love one another. And Romans 5:5 reminds us that God pours His love into our hearts through the Holy Spirit. That means we don’t love in our own strength. We love because He first loved us 1 John 4:19. Reading this devotional encourages me to pray, Lord fill my heart with Your love, help me love even when it’s hard, and let my life reflect the heart of Jesus. Thank you for sharing this brother. May God continue to bless Hope Bible School and every person who reads His Word with a heart that beats with His love.
