John 8:34 Jesus replied, “Truly, truly, I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin.
In this verse, Jesus teaches an important truth about sin. He says that everyone who practices sin becomes enslaved to sin. In our recent Bible study we learned that sin is lawlessness.
This means that sin is rebellion against God’s law and His authority. When someone continually lives in sin, they become trapped in that rebellion and fall into spiritual bondage.
It is only through Jesus Christ can a person be set free from the slavery of sin. Christ came to deliver people from the power and control that sin has over the human heart.
As Christians, we must be careful not to drift into patterns of sin. Sin has the power to trap a person and hold them captive.
If you find yourself falling into sin, turn to Christ immediately. Confess it to Him and ask Him to help you walk in the freedom that He provides. ~ Jeff M Newman

Observe Jesus’ Commands
Let little children come to Jesus and do not hinder them. Receive the kingdom of God like a little child.
Mark 10:13-16 Now people were bringing the little children to Jesus for Him to place His hands on them, and the disciples rebuked those who brought them. 14 But when Jesus saw this, He was indignant and told them, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them! For the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. 15 Truly I tell you, anyone who does not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” 16 And He took the children in His arms, placed His hands on them, and blessed them.
