And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to test and prove what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God. (Philippians 1:9-11)
Paul wrote this letter to the believers in Philippi while he was in prison. His prayer was that their love would grow deeper, guided by knowledge and understanding of God. As this happens, their lives would become filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ. A true knowledge of God is shown through the way we live each day. When we continue to seek God, our lives will produce the fruit of righteousness, becoming an offering of praise to Him. ~ Jeff M Newman
