For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not from yourselves; it is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance as our way of life. (Ephesians 2:8–10)
We all must face judgment for the sins we have committed. But by God’s grace, we are saved when we put our faith in Christ. Salvation is a gift we could never earn. Jesus did the hard work by paying for our sins through His death on the cross.
Once you are saved, God has good works prepared in advance for you. He has a purpose for your life, and He invites you to walk in it. You are His workmanship, created by His hands and shaped by His love. Look to God each day for what He would have you do. Rest in the truth that He loves you deeply and has called you to live for Him. ~ Jeff M Newman
