For My Thoughts Are Not Your Thoughts
Isaiah 55:8-9

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways,” declares the LORD.“ For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so My ways are higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts. (Isaiah 55:8-9)
In context, Isaiah is addressing the Israelites during and following the exile, a time marked by uncertainty and longing for restoration. God is reminding them that His plans and purposes are far greater than what human understanding can grasp. Even when His work does not unfold as expected, His ways are wise and intentional. In times of difficulty, God’s people are called to trust Him, confident that He is faithful to His promises and is working toward a future shaped by His grace and redemption. ~ Jeff M Newman
