Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is One. (Deuteronomy 6:4)
The first word in this verse in Hebrew is Shema. Shema means to hear with attention, to give heed, or to obey. We are not only to hear what God is saying to us but also to obey it. The next part is, "The LORD our God." The LORD is not a distant deity but a personal God. Let the LORD be your God. Let the LORD be the One who is the central focus of your life. Look to God and obey Him. ~ Jeff M Newman

Be Doers Of The Word
Be doers of the word, and not hearers only. Otherwise, you are deceiving yourselves. (James 1:22)
