He gave Himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds. (Titus 2:14)
Jesus died on the cross to release you from the bondage of sin. He redeemed you. He paid the penalty for your sin. Redeem means to regain possession, in exchange for payment. Without Jesus, you are a slave to sin. Jesus wants to use you to reach more people with the message of salvation, so they can be freed from the bondage of sin as well. ~ Jeff M Newman
