Jesus Has Absolute Authority
John 3:35
The Father loves the Son and has placed all things in His hands. Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life. Whoever rejects the Son will not see life. Instead, the wrath of God remains on him. (John 3:35)
God the Father loves Jesus and has given Him absolute authority over all things, as well as the authority to grant eternal life.
In Matthew 28:18, we read that Jesus came to His disciples and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me."
Then, in Matthew 11:27, Jesus said, "All things have been entrusted to me by my Father."
Finally, in John 17:2, Jesus said, "For you granted Him authority over all people so that He may give eternal life to all those you have given Him."

This Is My Beloved Son, in Whom I Am Well Pleased!
As soon as Jesus was baptized, He went up out of the water. Suddenly the heavens were opened, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and resting on Him. And a voice from heaven said, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased!” (Matthew 3:16-17)
