But to those of you who will listen, I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. (Luke 6:27-28)
In this world, you will encounter people who do not treat you well. In your flesh, it is easy to retaliate and become bitter, but these reactions ultimately lead to pain. However, Jesus offers a different strategy. He instructs us to:
Love them.
Bless them.
Pray for them.
Do you have people in your life whom you struggle with or who have treated you unkindly? Follow Jesus’ instructions rather than resorting to sinful behavior. ~ Jeff M Newman
