Perfect Love Drives Out Fear
There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear, because fear involves punishment. The one who fears has not been perfected in love. (1 John 4:18)
There is no greater fear than the fear of being eternally separated from God and eternally punished for your sins.
When you understand that God loves you so much that He sent His Son to die on the cross to pay the penalty for your sins, this fear will be driven out. Jesus took the punishment for you.
