John 15:4-5 Remain in Me, and I will remain in you. Just as no branch can bear fruit by itself unless it remains in the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in Me. 5 I am the vine and you are the branches. The one who remains in Me, and I in him, will bear much fruit. For apart from Me you can do nothing.
In these verses, Jesus is inviting His disciples into a close, abiding relationship with Him. When He said this, He knew His time on earth was short and was preparing His disciples for life without His physical presence.
He teaches that just as a branch depends completely on the vine for life and fruit, we depend completely on Him. If we remain in Him, we will bear much fruit, not by our own strength, but through His life working in us.
This fruit is the result of a Spirit-empowered life flowing out of our connection with Christ. Through this close union with Him, His love and life impact those around us.
Spend time with Christ today, tomorrow, and always. Draw near to Him, and He will draw near to you. ~ Jeff M Newman

Matthew 21:21-22 “Truly I tell you,” Jesus replied, “if you have faith and do not doubt, not only will you do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen. 22 If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”
