The Devil Wants to Devour You
1 Peter 5:8
Be sober-minded and alert. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. (1 Peter 5:8)
If you get tempted today, remember what Jesus said, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come that they may have life, and have it in all its fullness.” (John 10:10) Be on the alert as you move through your day, knowing that the devil wants to take you down. The devil is a liar. Don’t believe His lies. Protect yourself by looking to God today. Don’t give in to temptation today. ~ Jeff M Newman

Respond With Gentleness and Respect
But in your hearts sanctify Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give a defense to everyone who asks you the reason for the hope that is in you. But respond with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who slander you may be put to shame by your good behavior in Christ. (1 Peter 3:15-16)
