For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23)
Every person has sinned against God. The penalty for sin is eternal separation from Him, also described as death. However, because of His great love, God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to pay the penalty for your sin by dying on the cross. When you believe in Jesus—trusting that His death and resurrection were for you—you receive the gift of eternal life.
Eternal life is not just living forever; it is a restored relationship with God, grounded in His love and grace. It is a gift that cannot be earned. As you grow in your understanding of all that God has done and continues to do for you, your love for Him deepens, and you are moved to share His love with others. ~ Jeff M Newman
