Acts 8:4 Those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went.

In context, there was great persecution against the church in Jerusalem following the martyrdom of Stephen. The believers were scattered throughout the surrounding regions. What may have appeared to be a terrible circumstance, God used as an opportunity for the gospel to spread. Wherever the believers went, they preached the Word.

No matter what your circumstances are in life, look for opportunities to share the Word of God. Don’t wait for the perfect opportunity. You don’t have to be giving a sermon in front of a church to share God’s Word. You can share Jesus with the people God places around you in your everyday life.

Ask God to give you opportunities to share His Word today. Ask Him for the courage and strength to open your mouth and speak when He gives you an opportunity. He wants to use you as an instrument of His righteousness to make Jesus known to the people around you. ~ Jeff M Newman
