We Know That When Christ Appears, We Will Be Like Him
1 John 3:2

1 John 3:2 Beloved, we are now children of God, and what we will be has not yet been revealed. We know that when Christ appears, we will be like Him, for we will see Him as He is.
This verse teaches us about the process of sanctification. Sanctification is God’s work of transforming believers into the image of Jesus Christ. One day, when Christ returns, we will be perfectly conformed to His likeness.
The sanctification process begins the moment you put your faith in Jesus Christ. As a believer, God is continually transforming you day by day. This transformation takes place as you abide in Christ. As you spend time with Him and fix your eyes on Him, He changes your heart to become more like His.
Fill your life with God’s Word. Pray through what you are reading, and ask God to give you the strength to obey what He is teaching you. Take His Word seriously and depend on the Holy Spirit each day. As you do, God will faithfully continue His work of sanctification in your life.
One day, His work of sanctification will be complete. When Jesus returns and you see Him face to face, you will be perfectly like Him. Let this wonderful hope encourage you to walk faithfully with Christ every day. ~ Jeff M Newman
