Psalm 91:1 Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
In this Psalm, we learn that it is possible to dwell in the shelter of the Most High. In life, shelter provides protection, safety, and security. Without shelter, a person is exposed to danger, hardship, and the effects of the world around them.
In a far greater way, this verse invites believers to continually remain close to God and dwell in His presence. To abide under His shadow means to live in dependence upon Him and rest in His care, protection, and strength.
Ultimately, this verse points to Jesus Christ, who is the true refuge and security for believers. Through Him, we are brought into fellowship with God and can rest safely in Him.
This does not mean Christians will never experience persecution, suffering, or trials in this life. However, believers can have confidence knowing that their lives and eternity are secure in Christ, and nothing can separate them from Him.
Continue abiding in Jesus Christ today. Spend time with Him in prayer, worship, and His Word, and rest in the shelter of His presence. ~ Jeff M Newman

Observe Jesus’ Commands
Be full of light. Make sure there is no darkness in you.
Luke 11:34-36 Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eyes are good, your whole body also is full of light. But when they are bad, your body is full of darkness. 35 Be careful, then, that the light within you is not darkness. 36 So if your whole body is full of light, with no part of it in darkness, you will be radiant, as though a lamp were shining on you.” (Matthew 6:22-23)
