You Are Not of the World
John 15:18-19

If the world hates you, understand that it hated Me first. If you were of the world, it would love you as its own. Instead, the world hates you, because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. (John 15:18-19)
In these verses, Jesus is letting His followers know that He is hated by the world and that He has chosen them out of the world. The world is the evil system that is against God. While He said this the Jewish religious leaders were planning on arresting and killing Jesus. As a Christian, keep this in mind. The world is not going to like you following Jesus. When you come up against persecution remember that Jesus experienced the same issues. Pray that God gives you the strength to persevere. ~ Jeff M Newman
