You Must No Longer Walk as the Gentiles Do
Ephesians 4:17-19

Ephesians 4:17-19 So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer walk as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking. 18 They are darkened in their understanding and alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardness of their hearts. 19 Having lost all sense of shame, they have given themselves over to sensuality for the practice of every kind of impurity, with a craving for more.
As Christians, we are called to make a decisive break with our previous way of living. We are no longer to walk in habitual, unrepentant sin.
When someone is living in ongoing rebellion against God, they are experiencing a separation from the fullness of the life God gives, and their understanding becomes darkened.
Sin distorts their ability to see and respond to truth. Over time, they can give themselves over to a sinful way of life.
Evaluate your life. Are you drifting back into patterns of sin, or are you seeking Christ and walking with Him?
Ask God to empower you to love and obey Him today, remembering that it is He who works in you to will and to act according to His good purpose. ~ Jeff M Newman
