Matthew 7:23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you workers of lawlessness!’
In this verse, Jesus Christ is warning about false professions of faith. These are people who claim to know God but are living in ongoing rebellion against Him.
Scripture teaches that it is impossible to live in continual rebellion against God and truly know Christ.
When a person puts their faith in Christ, they are called to turn from lawlessness, receive the forgiveness He offers, and begin living in obedience to God’s commands.
True faith in Christ does not produce a life of lawlessness but a life that is increasingly transformed by His grace. ~ Jeff M Newman

Observe Jesus’ Commands
Let God’s Word sanctify you and be set apart from the world.
John 17:15-19 I am not asking that You take them out of the world, but that You keep them from the evil one. 16 They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 17 Sanctify them by the truth; Your word is truth. 18 As You sent Me into the world, I have also sent them into the world. 19 For them I sanctify Myself, so that they too may be sanctified by the truth.
