Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Look, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison to test you, and you will suffer tribulation for ten days. Be faithful even unto death, and I will give you the crown of life. (Revelation 2:10)
In context, this message is written to the church in Smyrna, one of the seven churches mentioned in the book of Revelation.
Jesus is informing them that they will face tribulation, testing, and suffering.
He assures them that if they remain faithful, they will receive the crown of life, which is a special reward for those who endure suffering for the sake of Jesus.
If you encounter persecution and testing, it is important to remain faithful.
Jesus promises that if you persevere and obey Him, even in challenging circumstances, you will also receive the crown of life.~ Jeff M Newman
