Be Imitators of God
Ephesians 5:1
(Photo by Matt Paul Catalano on Unsplash. Berean Standard Bible.)
Be imitators of God, therefore, as beloved children, and walk in love, just as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us as a fragrant sacrificial offering to God. (Ephesians 5:1)
God is calling His children to imitate Him, reflecting His character to the world. Jesus is the perfect image of God. He denied Himself and sacrificed for others, and we are called to look to Him and model our lives after His example. The more you fix your eyes on Jesus and follow His ways, the more you will be conformed to the image of God.
Ask God to give you the strength to love as Jesus loves, and ask Him to fill you with the Holy Spirit. The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. When the fruit of the Spirit is evident in your life, you are imitating God. ~ Jeff M Newman

Observe Jesus’ Commands
Be full of light. Make sure there is no darkness in you.
Luke 11:34-36 Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eyes are good, your whole body also is full of light. But when they are bad, your body is full of darkness. 35 Be careful, then, that the light within you is not darkness. 36 So if your whole body is full of light, with no part of it in darkness, you will be radiant, as though a lamp were shining on you.” (Matthew 6:22-23)
